The label, Potipoti, was founded in 2005 as a collaboration between two designers, Silvia Salvador and Nando Cornejo. The philosophy of the designer duo is to bridge the gap between graphic design, art and fashion. Their distinctive aesthetic is reflected in the variety of products they stock as well as the eclectic range of international brands and labels they house.
Potipoti moved its new shop to Rosenthaler Straße 66 (Berlin-Mitte) between Rosenthaler Platz and Hackescher Markt, an area, where an international audience finds its way through the streets on their discovering tour. The store windows to the street present the colourful and graphical potipoti design as well as a fine selection of international designers from casual to glamorous: Besides potipoti, these are labels like Franzius, Mikenke, Reality Studio or Carocora; as well as shoes from Eva vs. Maria and The Flaneuse, selected pieces of jewelry by Gonzalo Cutrina or Laurène Vernet and classy bags by P:pi. Their aim is to engage, support and develop a range of selected designers exclusively in Berlin. As experiencing never stops, potipoti is always open for new labels, which fit into the shops concept.
Potipoti has an innovative influence, offering its customers the opportunity to discover their own style without blindly following current trends. In the new shop, potipoti will show even more of their world of fashion, art and music: records and CDs from genres such as electronic, independent and avantgarde, as well as magazines or literature on design and young art.
Potipoti’s designs regularly incorporate elements of fable and folklore and are typified by an audacious use of bold color combinations. Beige, black, navy blue and colorful accents are printed on cotton, mohair, silk and micro-corduroy fabrics and their whimsical designs can be found in Copenhagen, Barcelona or Tokyo.
